Bhaskar Mukherjee, Birbhum: At least 25 people fell ill after consuming curd. It is reported that everyone ate from the same sweet shop. The incident took place in Santiniketan in Bolpur on Tuesday. Some of the sick are hospitalized. Some are being treated at home. Even the foot safety officer himself is sick of eating curd in this shop. Sick of eating yogurt: This sweet shop is popular in Shantiniktan in Bolpur. It is alleged that on March 5, many people had eaten curd from this shop. Then the allegations of food poisoning started coming. The noise started on social media. Some have been admitted to Bolpur PHC, some to the sub-divisional hospital and some to Visva-Bharati's Pearson Memorial Hospital. Some are being treated at home, even the foot safety officer himself is sick after eating curd in this shop. So there is a lot of anger in the city. However, no complaint has been lodged with the police or the food department. Sanjuara Khatun, a food safety officer in Bolpur, was also undergoing treatment for three days.
