Food safety department intensifies checks at hospitals, schools & colleges

of the food safety department, said
around 270 canteens are currently operating in the district's health and education
institutions. "Our primary objective is to ensure that the food served in all these
establishments meets safety and quality standards. We have collected samples
from many canteens, including those supplying mid-day meals in govt schools,"
Kumar said.
