In a crackdown on food adulteration, the Hyderabad police’s Central Task Force on Wednesday, 28 February, apprehended four people for producing and selling adulterated ginger and garlic paste in Rajendernagar. The cops said they cops began the operation — acting on a tip-off — by arresting Panduranga Rao (72), a resident of Begumpet. He was found in possession of adulterated ginger and garlic paste. Rao’s interrogation reportedly led the authorities to a manufacturing and trading storehouse located at Upper Pally in the Rajendranagar area of the city.
