Officials of the civic body’s health wing, along with doctors from the primary health centre at Kalamassery, conducted joint inspections of eateries and other food outlets in Vidakkuzha, St. Joseph’s, University, Municipal and Muttar wards as part of measures to control the spread of hepatitis A. He said notices would be served to all eateries, food joints, and units operating in unhygienic conditions. He added that outlets that have not yet applied for health cards for employees handling food have been directed to do so without delay.
