District Health Officer Dr. Amrit Warring, sharing details of the recent inspections, said that in Kharar, the team visited four eateries and collected four samples. Similarly, in Mataur, three samples of momos and other food items were taken, and two vendors were penalized for poor hygiene.
In Zirakpur, three samples were collected from eateries during nighttime inspections, alongside checks on vehicles transporting chicken into the city.
On Friday, three more samples of momos and spring rolls were taken from Kurali, while two food vendors were fined for operating in unhygienic conditions. Additionally, seven kilograms of rotten vegetables and five kilograms of stale noodles were seized and destroyed on the spot.
