A team of senior officials, including assistant commissioner Shivamurthy, tahsildar Shivakumar Biradar, district health and family welfare officer Dr Mohan and other officials, visited the jaggery-manufacturing unit in Hullenahalli located in Hadya in Mandya taluk for inspection. peaking here, DHO Dr Mohan said that the district administration had formed a special team to inspect all existing sheds in the district. He said they found no clues about the illegal scanning centre being operated at other jaggery-manufacturing units. “There are about 55 scanning centres registered with the department. Officials have been instructed to file detailed reports on scanning centres conducting sex detection tests. Based on the report, we will initiate action,” he added. The officials also collected information from locals.
