Nagpur: More than 200 devotees complained of loose motions and vomiting soon after consuming ‘bhagar’ during the Ekadashi feast at Somthana village in Lonar tehsil of Buldhana district, around 400km from Nagpur, on Tuesday evening. Videos of the spot showed that the lack of enough beds at the hospitals had led to many patients being administered medicines from saline bags hung from string tied to trees in the hospital premises. Civil surgeon Dr Subhash Chavhan said none of them was critical and they only suffered from mild symptoms. An inquiry has been initiated to know cause of poisoning.
