Ayodhya News: Rs 1.74 lakh fine for adulteration of food items

The varieties of food items which have been confirmed adulterated include curd, kismis, petha, black salt, biscuits and boondi laddus.
Assistant Food Commissioner Manik Chand Singh said that a fine of Rs 20,000 has been imposed on Tara Ji Associate at Ranopali, Devkali Bypass Crossroads and Food Manager Deepak Soni, resident of Devkali, Bachda Sultanpur, for adulterating curd. Narayan Kirana General Store in Malikzada, Rudauli and Kamlesh Traders on City Station Road in Lucknow have been fined Rs 34,000 for adulteration of 250 gram packs of kismis. A fine of Rs 30,000 has been imposed on Bikaneri Rasgulla Bhandar, Maa Sharda Food Products and Virendra Pandey of Barun Bazar for selling adulterated petha.
Similarly, Ram Gopal of Moti Nagar, Purakalander, Satyam Traders of Masoudha, Shankh and Surya Products of Jainpur, Kanpur Dehat and Deepika Enterprises of Naubasta, Kanpur have been fined Rs 40,000 for adulteration of Shankh brand black salt powder. A fine of Rs 30,000 has been imposed on Star Products and Tauseef Ahmad of Khawaspura for selling adulterated biscuits. A fine of Rs 20,000 has been imposed on Dharmendra Singh and Krishna Kumar Singh, residents of Harringtonganj, for adulterating laddus in Bundi.
